Production: Challenges

Through out the film making the challenges that i faced were the timing. My team members were not having much time for shooting the video because in those days of shooting they were also have some plan with other but at the end they gave me the time from their daily basis schedule.

Weather forecast & risk evaluation

Before making a video, we had seen the weather, the sun was spreading on that day. Here's the risk assessment sheet:

Shooting Schedule

According to my plan(schedule) i will shoot my first shot on 23/02/2020  (AT HOME) and on 24-02/2020 i will shoot the scene when student goes to school and at last will shoot the final scene(ending) scene on 25/02.2020.

Planning: Storyboarding

So having a  storyboard  allows you to work out problems at the early stage before production takes place. It gives you and your clients a common point of reference to compare ideas with. You can try out multiple ideas or shots using the  storyboards . You can get an overview of the timing and rhythm of the piece.

Planning: Shot List

At the start of the film my first shot is at home, next shot is at when student went out for school. The next shot is at sector D-12 shot when student gives bagger something to eat. The last shot at when next day student is on way to school but he didnt see the bagger but his things are there like his stick, shawl etc...

Planning: Designing the mise en scene

The mise-en-scene lighting was Direct & In-direct (Light).  The costume that i chose for the student that was sport dress with brown coat while the costume for the bagger was simple having shawl and muffler  with him. The location that i chose that was my home(sector E11/2) and sector D-12. The location that i chose that was my home(Sector E11/2) as well as for the ending scenes of the video the location was D-12.

Planning: Finalising Cast

I held a small audition class to choose the best character for the specific role. Basically, i wanted to inspect who can be the best representation of what i wanted to show the audience. After taking all of the audition i've taken those who were the best and have much ability to do. At the end i cast my team.

Planning: Audition

Research on Genre: Codes & Conventions

Media codes and conventions are like the building blocks of all the media around us.  Media codes  generally have an agreed meaning, or connotation, to their audience. There are three types of media codes,  symbolic codes ,  technical codes  and  written codes .  Conventions  are expected ways in which codes are organised in a product. Symbolic Codes Symbolic codes are social in nature. What this means is that these codes live outside the media product themselves, but would be understood in similar ways in the ‘real life’ of the audience. For instance, if you saw somebody receive a red rose in a film, you would assume there is a romantic relationship between the two characters. If you gave somebody a red rose in real life, you might be hoping the same. Symbolic codes in media include  setting, mise en scene ,  acting  and  colour . Setting Setting is the time and place of ...
